Copperline Tours is a fully licensed, custom tour company located in Charlotte, NC. From mountains to coastlines, wine valleys to NASCAR shops, the Old North State offers a variety of experiences for everyone.
The Copperline Tours name is a nod to a lesser known piece of North Carolina history. Copper line, or copper piping, was a vital component to the whiskey stills used to make “moonshine” during the prohibition years. The mountains and foothills of North Carolina, particularly Wilkes County were once known as the moonshine capital of the world.
While a small part of North Carolina history, it played an important role in the development of NASCAR and likely the microbrew friendly culture of the state today.
