ClearWater Artist Studios

ClearWater Artist Studios is a Community Development Project of the City of Concord. Reclaimed old buildings have been re-defined and given new life, as a place where artists may build their practice, and the community may gain access to artists and artistic inspiration.  We have a large Gallery which features rotating exhibits. Each exhibit may be up from 1-2 months and is listed on the website. We ask each Guest Artist or Solo Artist to provide a free Artist Talk, to the public. Times vary. See our Events page!

The Gallery is open most weekdays with our guaranteed open hours set at Wed-Fri, 12PM-5PM; and a monthly open house known as ‘2nd Saturday Open Studios,’ a chance to meet artists and see their work in their studios, every 2nd Saturday of the month from 10AM-4PM.

We also rent out our Gallery and other spaces for private event rentals. Photos of various events and the spaces are on our website (look under ‘Our Space,’ then “Rent Our Space”).

ClearWater Artist Studios hosts 14 artists leasing studio space and the Southern Piedmont Woodturners Club.  Each tenant has a profile page with images on our website, under ‘Artists.’

We are working on more plans for dynamic events, fun classes and community offerings, and looking to partner with other community groups and businesses.  Group tours are available and if you’d like to schedule a presentation about the facility, just call the Manager, Sarah Gay.
