North Carolina Research Campus

Groups & Meetings

Some of the world’s top scientific minds are hard at work at the North Carolina Research Campus.

Home to eight universities, the North Carolina Research Campus was opened in 2008. Its goal – to foster collaboration and further knowledge in biotechnology, nutrition and agriculture.

Farmers markets, educational lectures, community concerts and a healthful restaurant draw crowds to the stunning campus located in downtown Kannapolis. Every Thursday, from 3-6pm, visitors can take home the goodness of the area’s best produce and gift items from the NCRC Farmers Market, the only indoor, year-round farmers market in the area. The market offers a bounty of local produce, locally-grown beef and pork, free-range eggs, baked goods, cheeses, local crafts and art.
