Special Display: North Carolina’s Favorite Son
July 1 - September 30, 9:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Throughout the life of Billy Graham, North Carolina remained “home.” From his childhood on a Charlotte dairy farm to his mountain home with Ruth in Montreat, North Carolina played a preeminent role in the person he became. In 2013, Billy Graham was officially named “North Carolina’s Favorite Son” when Governor Pat McCrory signed a proclamation following unanimous approval from the North Carolina House and Senate. This display celebrates Billy Graham’s home state and this significant achievement through artifacts and photos from Billy Graham’s life on the farm, his Crusades in the state, his home in Montreat, the Billy Graham Training Center at the Cove, and more.
This special display is free to the public and no pre-registration is required. For more information, please call 704-401-3200.
