Hot Box Next Level Kitchen Grand Opening

Southern Strain Brewing Company is proud to announce the Grand Opening of Hot Box Next Level Kitchen this Friday, February 28, 2020 from 3pm until close. Join us in welcoming Hot Box at their home in the Southern Strain Brewing Company taproom for an exciting night with local funk band AKITA and special guest, local hip-hop artist and residing Hot Box employee Nick Tyree.
Operating since November 2019, Hot Box Next Level Kitchen is an in-house taproom kitchen and is a partnership with Southern Strain Brewing Company. Owned and operated by local chef Michael Bowling and backed by an all-star kitchen staff including the 2019 North Carolina Restaurant & Lodging Association’s Pastry Chef of the Year, Jamie Turner, and Michael’s son, Nick Tyree. Hot Box has already become a Concord staple and caters private in-house events through their catering manager Jennifer Johnson.
Hot Box is helping bridge the food culture gap in Concord by offering items not readily available around town. Hot Box offers signature staple menu items including smoked chicken wings, risotto fritters, cauliflower and potato curry, and even an Oprah Winfrey Weight Watchers approved grain bowl. Rotating and seasonal items also grace the menu such as smoked ribs, a buffalo burger and a catfish sandwich. Hot Box hosts a special Jazz Beerunch menu every Sunday from 12pm-3pm alongside a three-piece jazz trio and works with Southern Strain on beer pairing dinners and special menu items to pair with their beer releases throughout the year.
