Photos with Santa at Concord Mills – Nov 9-Dec 24
Share your wish list with the man in red and get your picture taken for a special holiday keepsake. Meet Caring Santa during a calmer, sensory-friendly environment on December 2, and bring your pets for photos with Santa on November 18 or December 9 if your little ones have four legs and fur.

Historic Downtown Concord Annual Tree Lighting – Nov 16
The holidays take over downtown during Concord’s first festive event of the season. In addition to lighting the tree in Bicentennial Plaza, visitors can experience children’s activities, trolley and horse-drawn carriage rides, live entertainment and fireworks.

The Icepark – Nov 16 through the holidays
Chill out after your holiday shopping! Located directly behind Concord Mills, The Speedpark adds over 4,200 square feet of real ice making it the perfect pit stop for ice skating, go karts, mini golf and more. Tickets are just $12 and include skate rental.

Eggnog Jog 5K – Nov 17
Racing under the lights isn’t just for NASCAR at Charlotte Motor Speedway! Set your own pace on the same superspeedway as stock car greats during this holiday-themed 5k fun run through the dazzling lights of Speedway Christmas, complete with costumed runners and fireworks!

90th Annual Concord Christmas Parade – Nov 18
In 1928 the Concord Merchants Association presented the first Concord Christmas Parade. This longtime hometown tradition is sure to get you in the holiday spirit! Attended by thousands, the route begins at Lake Concord Road and Church Street and parades down Union Street.

Speedway Christmas – Nov 18-Dec 31 (Closed Dec 25)
Drive your car on the track along the 3.75-mile course as lights-to-music displays with over 3 million lights dance around you! Returning to Charlotte Motor Speedway for the ninth year, this spectacular light show is open nightly, and every Thursday through Sunday visitors can the explore the infield Christmas Village including a petting zoo, Bethlehem village, photos with Santa, drive-in style movies on the giant Speedway TV, and a new 50-foot Ferris Wheel!

A Kannapolis Christmas – Nov 24-Dec 30 (Closed Dec 24-25)
The Celebration of Lights boasts over 250,000 lights, and guests can ride the Winterland Express train through the park and go for a spin on the only double-decker carousel in the state. More fun awaits with performances by the Kannapolis Signing Bears.

Snowland at Great Wolf Lodge – Nov 24-Jan 4
Gather the family for a winter wonderland with shimmering lights, holiday trees, and indoor snow showers that melt into the indoor water park’s toasty 84-degrees. Snowland also features a life-size gingerbread house that you can dine in, visits with Santa, and so much more! Reserve a Snowland Suites which includes a room adorned with twinkling lights, glimmering garlands, and a fully decorated Christmas tree.

Harrisburg’s Christmas Tree Lighting – Nov 30
Join in on the Town of Harrisburg’s holiday festivities! At Veteran’s Park just behind Town Hall, families can enjoy free horse and carriage rides, on-stage entertainment, craft vendors, food and visits with Santa.

Town of Mount Pleasant Tree Lighting Ceremony – Nov 30
Start the season in Downtown Mount Pleasant! Bring the family for photos with Santa and indulge in holiday treats like hot chocolate, s’mores and dinner from the What-A-Burger Food Truck.

A Golden Christmas at Reed Gold Mine – Dec 1
A special holiday-themed tour of the site of America’s first discovery of gold. Take an underground candlelight mine tour during the day, then enjoy crafts, a Christmas Market and demonstrations. Antique and vintage holiday décor will also be on display.

The Barefoot Movement Christmas Show – Dec 1
A holiday celebration for the whole family! This Nashville-based group will perform season favorites inside the Historic Davis Theatre. Make a night of it with dinner reservations at a local restaurant in Downtown Concord.

Town of Mount Pleasant Christmas Parade – Dec 1
Founded in 1848, the charming Town of Mount Pleasant is the perfect place to celebrate the Christmas season in small town America. The parade runs from Main Street to East Franklin Street.

Christmas in the Visitor Center – Dec 1-31
Stop in for inspiration on how to spend your time in Cabarrus County! Pick up local souvenirs and enjoy complimentary hot cocoa, cookies and holiday classic movies.

80th Annual Kannapolis Christmas Parade – Dec 8
Watch in wonder as the Kannapolis parade lights up the night! Thousands of lights decorate parade entries making it one of the state’s most special nighttime holiday events.

Christmas Open House at Rocky River Vineyards – Dec 8
Put on your ugliest sweater and take a break from the holiday hustle to enjoy panoramic views, music, mulled wine, food trucks and more. Kiddos will love the Candy Cane Hunt in the vines and getting their photo with Santa.
