The Cabarrus County Convention and Visitors Bureau's Sports Department plays a vital role in attracting international, national and regional sporting events, activities and sports-related business to our area.
Sports Event Sales
We'll help you find the "right place". The Cabarrus County Conventions & Visitors Bureau assists in finding the perfect sports venue, supply firms, catering companies and dining options. This complimentary service saves you considerable time and expense. Just give us the specifics, and we will do the rest.

Bid Book/Proposal Presentations
If your event requires a bid book or presentation, the Bureau can assist with presenting the destination to the deciding committee or provide you with the information for your bid book/proposal. Please fill out our Request for Proposal form for more information.
We work in partnership with all Cabarrus County hotels to find availability, lowest room rates, and book accommodations for your participants and their families. Search our many Cabarrus County hotel listings for planning assistance. Make sure to contact our Sports Sales Manager to assist with reaching out to area hotels.
Sports Event Services
Brochures are available with detailed information about Cabarrus County and area attractions, shopping, dining, entertainment and transportation.
Travel Counselors can assist guests with visitor information and provide first-hand knowledge about the destination.
Mobile Marketing Unit
The mobile marketing unit consists of a race trailer with a drop down window for displays/visitor information as well as a 800 horse power stock car, when fired up, will quickly grab the attention of your spectators!
The Convention & Visitors Bureau and Cabarrus County Sports Council can assist your organization with the recruitment and selection of skilled-based volunteers.
Welcome bags can be provided to all participants spending the night in Cabarrus County. These bags can be used as registration bags or for visitor information.

Family-friendly, state of the art indoor multi-use sports facility located in Downtown Concord. With approximately 40,000 square feet of open, usable space that is fully equipped to host your next sports or special event! For the sports enthusiast, they offer 8 basketball and volleyball courts and are home to a premier fitness facility, Elite Fitness & Performance.
CMC NorthEast Stadium
4,700-seat facility features six luxury suites, plus box seat and reserved seat sections and general admission seating. The "Cannon" also features two large picnic areas. Two fully equipped concession stands are located throughout the concourse. Also on site are the "Intimidation Station" and "Pit Stop Playground." The stadium is home of the Kannapolis Intimidators Minor League Baseball and hosts a variety of other sports events as well.
Cabarrus Arena & Event Center
The region's newest and most innovative event center offers a flexible floor plan with state-of-the-art features and is an ideal venue for sports events and tournaments from basketball to wrestling. The main arena seats 6,000 (including 2,300 affixed arena seats) and also features VIP suites, meeting rooms and adjacent events center and multipurpose rooms.
Frank Liske Park
You name it; this park has it... 6-court tennis complex, 4 field softball/baseball complex with concessions and restrooms, 11-field soccer complex with concessions and restrooms (4 lighted fields), plus a 9-acre lake with paddle boats, playgrounds, amphitheater, horseshoes and volleyball courts, nature trail, fitness trail and a 2-mile perimeter trail.
